Cool
We have an old home, like from 1930. Thus the AC was added at a latter date, possibly by a "do-it-yourselfer" who just kind of winged it. When the temp outside is above 90, the AC just can't keep up. You set it for 68 and come home and it's 72, 73. Sounds minor, but it's not. So we checked Craigslist a few times and someone in the area was offering a 3-year-old Kenmore 8,000 BTU AC for free. With a brand new installation kit!
A neighborhood friend came by after work yesterday to help me install it (I did not have a ton of faith in my ability to do it myself for some reason), and the result? The large main room in our house is now cool and comfortable. Did I mention it was free? Wow!And not a moment too soon, as it's currently 94 degrees, on the way to a high of 97!
