Grrrr....
So, our youngest is four months old (coming up on five), and most of the time he's perfectly pleasant, happy, and smiling. But... he's developed this quirk: At night, he only wants mommy. If he wakes up and I pick him up, he realizes it's me and starts screaming like I'm twisting one of his limbs off. And night time is when mommy gets a break after being mommy all day!
It's just a stage, and I'm not taking it personally, but it royally sucks.

Welcome to March!
Been a while, huh? Not as long as some of the folks in the left-side margin, of course, but still been a while. I'm becoming more of a Facebook and Instagram person, I guess. The ADD brain of a parent of two little boys necessitates social media be in smaller bites (or bytes, ha ha).
So what have I been doing? When it's warm, trips to the playground. When it's cold, playing in the house. These kids can make a few minutes of conversation something magical you want to remember forever. They can also make a lunch at a restaurant absolute hell where you vow never to eat again!
But life is certainly interesting.
Here's an example: L's cousin is moving in with his girlfriend (he's currently separated from wife number 2) and they're consolidating furniture. He has his grandmother's breakfront (click for definition!) and was ready to be rid of it. It's also L's grandmother, and L wanted it to stay in the family. He was happy to give it to us, but I needed to have it moved by this Tuesday. I had to go to U-Haul and rent a van, drive it to his house, load the breakfront (after wrapping it in plastic several times and crossing fingers it would stay safe), drive to my house, unload it myself, store it in the garage, and drive back to the U-Haul place to retrieve my car. That's a Sunday afternoon there.
Oh, and after a cold but relatively precipitation-free winter, we might finally be getting something on Wednesday. We'll see!
