Not for the squeamish

Have you seen the latest commercial for KFC? The one with the white girl saying she's the KFC chef or whatever, and there's a big "Actor Portrayal" note on the screen? The commercial ends with the above typical shot of a platter of chicken. But wait a minute. Look closer...

What is that?

Dear God, what is that?

Oh sweet Jesus, WHAT THE HELL IS THAT???

I'm thinking it. You're thinking it too. It looks like a little fried hand. Chickens don't have hands.
So then what is it? And if it's just a freakish deformed piece of chicken, why did they choose that particular piece to include in a commercial??? Who was the art director for this nightmare inducing spot?

Comments:
I meant to comment on this yesterday, but work got in the way (dammit). That thing is part of a chicken's wing. It's normally taken off during processing. At least it's not the fried chicken head that was allegedly found back in 2000.

But yeah, normally food photographers fall all over themselves to get perfect food to film.

Maybe they want to give the "chicken" a chance to defend itself against the jaws of the almighty Man.
