I'm reading a book about old Hollywood stars, their lives and how they died. Last night I read the listing for Humphrey Bogart, which included the line "When Humphrey learned he had throat cancer, he immediately switched to filtered cigarettes."

There's something almost quaint about that line.

Incidentally, he died at age 57.
