Important Question Tuesday
I stole this from a message board. De likely knows which one. These questions are important to discuss with your loved ones:
(1) A zombie invasion is occurring. You're trying to survive with your significant other by your side. Your SO is bitten by a zombie. Do you:
a) Kill your SO immediately to spare him/her from becoming a zombie.
b) Keep your SO around for as long as they're useful then waste zombie SO.
c) Keep your SO around until they become a zombie, then blubber like a whiny little bitch about how you love your SO/refuse to accept that SO is a zombie/let SO eat innocent people/protect zombie SO from being harmed by innocent people trying to defend themselves
d) Leave SO behind with zombies
e) Bite your SO to see if zombies bitten by humans will turn into humans
(2) If you're thrown back in time, is it okay to change the timeline and risk never meeting your SO, if you can change things for the greater good?
(3) If you die but cloned yourself before you die, is it okay for your clone to take your place?

(1) Option E (with modifications). I'd bite hubby to see if he'd turn human. If he didn't, I'd go zombie too. Why are we so prejudice against the zombies? If you've never tried it, how do you know you wouldn't like it?
(2) Greater good?! I wouldn't change a damn thing. Improving one aspect of life would throw off the delicate balance of life, creating discord somewhere else. If I recall correctly, chaos theory (or is it complexity theory?) allows that as an ordered system nears "perfection" (I use the term loosely), it is in inherently more danger of going awry. Food for thought.
(3) No. Genetic clones raised in the same environment under the same conditions do not look or behave the same as the original. The exception: identical twins (nature's "clones"). I think you'd be able to pass off an identical twin as the real thing ... but not a genetic clone.

(1) B! And me make sure that me have bottle of Jack Daniel's and big-ass handgun as me sit in dim room looking over corpse of SO waiting for her to wake up as zombie. Me wait and drink, drink and wait... and minute she sit up with sheet on head and make zombie noise, me put large fast bullet through brain and go back to drinking... with tear in me eye.
(2) If you go into past you can NO change anything for past am already set and you find that you already there before you leave. Case in point... on me 5th birthday me was pushed out of way of speeding car by mysterious stranger who run away and no let anyone thank him. When me get older me want to know who that person was so me travel back in time to see. Me get back to me 5th birthday and see little me and speeding car... but nobody else am around!! So me push little me out of way of speeding car and get hell out of dodge before anyone ask hard to answer questions. Did me change anything? No, because me fail to mention that mysterious stranger years ago was only person me ever meet who am exactly same shade of blue as me.
(3) Hmmm... Well, if me grew paw in dish and then lost paw and put new one in place... that be good. If me grew all me guts in big tank, then got illness that dissolve all me guts in me body... me be glad me have tank full of good new guts! Now, if me clone meself in way that clone look just like me and not brand new baby... and somehow manage to get all me mind and memories into clone... then me die... me see it as just about the same as replacing 'me' with clone than it am replacing guts or me paw!
