Season Finales

Some TV spoilers from last night below. If you care about such things, you've been warned.

CSI: The miniature killer story goes up another notch. On one hand, I'm sorry it wasn't someone we'd seen before. On the other hand, I'm glad they didn't make anyone on the CSI crew the killer (like Hodges, as many predicted). Oh, and if the actress playing Sarah doesn't sign a new contract and is gone from the show, they wrote it in such a way it doesn't matter at all. The season finale ended with an arm sticking out from UNDER a car, weakly moving. If the actress signs the contract, the SCI crew will find her in time. If she doesn't, they locate her dead body. Perfect way to write around a stubborn actress. She tried a work delay a few years ago and they fired her ass. She isn't the star of the show, so she should realize how easy she can be dumped and replaced with some other actress.


The Office: Two highlights of the finale was Jan's new breasts. Yowza! But there were a lot of other quirky, funny moments. Creepy employee Creed has a blog, but it's actually just a Word document someone opened for him. He updates and thinks it's going on the web. Pam's eyes welling up at the end when Jim arrives suddenly and asks her to dinner makes even grumpy people cheer. Sure, they'll probably just be friends when the next season starts, but Pam looked SO happy at that moment you wanted them together.

Lost: The Answers special: I didn't know this was coming on. A strange 45-minute special, hosted by the producers of the show. I watched it because I figured they'd point out certain events of the last three seasons as a way to hint where the finale will go. I try not to read spoilers for this show, so this was interesting. The point I noted that gives me a little hope Charlie won't die: The fact that they said Charlie, Claire, and Aaron are the only example of the nuclear family on the island. They can't destroy the only family, can they? The point that makes me fear he will die: They said he steps up and becomes a hero. We know that heroes die doing heroic things, so I'm fearing for the little guy.

This has been an awesome week at work, by the way. Five books arrived ahead of schedule from one printer, and my final book arrived yesterday from another printer. All my books made it in before the end of the fiscal year! This is kick-ass because for these final books, I was brought onto the project really late, and I oversaw every step, hounding folks and getting these out the door. I suspect that some people thought these books couldn't get out in time. Yay me!
