The owls are not what they seem

What a week. I've got six book of various lengths going to the printer this week. Six! They're all related, but since each is being published as a separate title, each requires the same amount of work. I've been putting in extra hours getting everything done. Then after I got home yesterday I mowed the lawn, which just raised a lot of pollen and attacked my sinuses.

Still home alone, and time seemed to be jumping ahead in 25-minute blocks last night. I looked up and it was suddenly after 10, and I couldn't recall much of what I'd done for the past four hours. I went to bed and read some of this little book on David Lynch. It covers all his work through Mulholland Drive, so even though I bought this book years ago, he's done so little recently that it's still nearly up-to-date. After watching some of season 2 of Twin Peaks, I dug this book off the shelf read a bit of background on the show. His original intention was to use the murder of Laura Palmer as a MacGuffin, a plot device just to get Agent Cooper to the town so he could meet and interact with all the characters, and never reveal the identity of the killer. But in the second season, ABC demanded that the killer be identified. Viewers were screaming for it, and ratings were sliding as week after week more clues were provided, but no answers.
If (a really, really big "if") I get the final book out the door early, I might attempt to leave work a tiny bit early and get the weekend started.
